BAMBOO FOREST MANAGEMENT
EcoPlanet Bamboo has pioneered the application of Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC)® Forest Management certification for bamboo. Ensuring that bamboo fiber and associated end products are certified with a standard that consumers are familiar with and understand plays a critical role in disrupting existing pulp and paper supply chains.
EcoPlanet's Nicaragua Bamboo Farms held FSC Forest Management Certification on a 5 year certificate from 2013-2017. This license will be reapplied for once these plantations are ready for harvesting.
EcoPlanet's Kowie Bamboo Farm in South Africa's Eastern Cape represents the only FSC certified bamboo farm in Africa.
