Troy Wiseman of EcoPlanet Bamboo at Tropical Landscapes Summit

The Government of Indonesia convened a conference to highlight the role that green investment could play in delivering a sustainable future for Indonesia. The Tropical Landscapes Summit 2015 aimed to bring together chairpersons and CEOs from around the world, as well as multilateral development partners, research institutions and representatives of NGOs and civil society institutions.
Troy Wiseman EcoPlanet Bamboo CEO delivered a speech and short video which was widely promoted as being highly inspiring. Wiseman highlighted EcoPlanet Bamboo's case study of sustainbly grown and certified bamboo to show that investing in the environment and people can not only have tangible positive impact, but also be profitable. "EcoPlanet Bamboo is not a bamboo company but a sustainable alternative fiber company". EcoPlanet Bamboo's framework has received accreditation by the World Bank as a positive example of When Business Can Be Good for the Environment. MIGA the World Bank's Multi Lateral Insurance Agency has provided an insurance policy against EcoPlanet Bamboo investments in Nicaragua and South Africa.
EcoPlanet Bamboo has been considering Indonesia as the company's next country of expansion and hopes to contribute to the country's objectives of providing a cleaner, greener future for all.
