At a press conference on 5 April, Mantis Founder and Chairman, Adrian Gardiner, announced a partnership with Accor Hotels, which saw the world-leading travel & lifestyle group acquire a 50% stake in Mantis.

EcoPlanet Bamboo has been working with the Mantis collection over the past 18 months, towards reducing the footprint of the tourism industry and providing sustainable alternatives for a wide range of products. As a result of this partnership, we were honored to be a part of this momentous occasion between Mantis and Accor, and to host the delegation and press on the Kowie Bamboo Farm, which lies in proximity to a number of Mantis Properties, including the flagship Founder's Lodge. Founder's Lodge, on the edge of Shamwari, one of the largest private game reserves globally, represents a success story for many of EcoPlanet Bamboo's own visions, including the successful restoration of what was once a degraded landscape into a healthy, productive, and economically viable ecosystem.

EcoPlanet Bamboo is looking forward to further engagement with both Mantis, and with Accor Hotels, as the global brand works towards its impressive Planet 21 Sustainable Development Strategy.
